Reports to: Head of Production

Location: Hybrid working, 3 days in the office in Shoreditch, London

  • You’re an established Production Director with a wealth of experience in large-scale events at your fingertips. You know the industry inside out, and a practical or technical challenge rarely leaves you scratching your head. You’re a great all-rounder who knows the expert to reach for if needed but understands the nuts and bolts of challenging builds, managing crews and suppliers at scale, and everything that goes into making a creative design translate into an unforgettable, real-world experience (and the right materials for the job!). You’re confident in leading and happy to support and grow those working under you. A natural problem solver, constantly striving for creative solutions and exceptional results. 

    • Lead day-to-day production activity on your own, often high-budget projects
    • Build and manage senior client relationships and expectations, ensuring clients receive the best service
    • Sign off key decisions on projects
    • Assist in managing the wider team, advising through delivery and inspiring the team with relevant thinking that's insightful, fresh and challenging
    • Assist the Head of Production with workflow, resourcing and time planning
    • Ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget
    • Have in-depth knowledge of all production elements (AV, Set build, Rigging etc.)
    • Approve budgets day-to-day
    • Report significant budget decisions/changes to Head of Production and ensure all events stakeholders are aware of changes and budget implications 
    • Source, liaise, negotiate and manage contracts with relevant suppliers, overseeing output and making sure it’s always of the highest quality
    • Build a close relationship with creative and project teams 
    • Have overall responsibility for on-site activity, including H&S delivery and de Rigging., including implementation of the build and break schedule
    • Contribute to the implementation of the live schedule and support Senior Project team
    • Ensure the Live event delivery is of the highest standard and that all show production is flawlessly executed
    • Manage client dialogue including troubleshooting; quickly responding to client needs
    • Oversee and support with de-rig and management of external suppliers
    • Ensure all production folders are organised and that all financial, technical, scheduling, logistics and H&S documentation is recorded and managed
    • Participate and lead, where relevant, on client debriefs 
    • Oversee budget management and check client quotes 
    • Ensure budgets are reconciled fully as soon as possible 
    • You have a deep knowledge and experience of all Production elements, specifically in large scale, ideally B2B conferences and exhibitions
    • Experience working with leading brands  
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Natural gravitas and presence to make things happen 
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Good understanding of the industry and commercial awareness
    • Have your finger on the pulse of innovations, awareness of external developments and implementing best practices 
    • Outstanding organisation and time management
    • Able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously 
    • Track record of working to tight deadlines under pressure
    • Can escalate issues based on experience
    • Pitch experience
