Google Cloud Summit finishes its European tour in style.

For the fourth year running, we designed and delivered Google Cloud Summit EMEA – a creative platform for the product’s innovation and business strategy – this week completing the final leg of the tour in style at the iconic RAI Amsterdam.

The Summits saw a record number of IT decision-makers and tech leaders network with Google developers, engineers and sponsors against a backdrop of VIP keynote speakers, breakout sessions, exhibition stands, and demos that formed the Google Cloud Showcase. Held across five major European cities (Madrid, Paris, Milan, Munich and Amsterdam), the Summits aimed to build brand awareness amongst these industry leaders, while closing the gap in the cloud market.

Engaging the key markets is always essential – but this year the global programme was also focussed on developers, with content and event set-up tailored to attract and nurture this important audience.

The event needed to look and feel Google, from entrance to exist – it was important to fully immerse attendees in the Google Cloud brand and mentality. We reviewed and refreshed the experience aligned to the new brand look and feel throughout the partner booths, showcases and stages – adding more furnishings and pops of colour throughout each space. The hands-on-lab experience was transformed and made a feature of with its own designated event room and trainers, allowing Google to engage with developers in a more interactive and beneficial way. Coupled with this, the “Ask the Expert” area allowed attendees to write code, talk to Google experts and get easy access to information on training certification programmes. We trialled the first ever open air stages at Google Cloud events, which created incredible space in the partner theatre for networking and interaction.

In addition this year, we also did a complete audit of partner suppliers to ensure that everyone adhered to sustainability objectives. Every element of the event was looked at, from consumables to catering to staging.
