Wonder hit the slopes.

Wonder is all about the people. We believe it is important to encourage a culture that is both hard-working and playful.

As Wonder grows, it is more important than ever that we continue to orchestrate internal events that bring the team together and keep the energy high.

Honing in on our playful side, we took the Wonder team on our 4th company ski trip. This year we ventured to Chamonix in France, for the opportunity to spend time away together in a different environment and embrace the physical challenges of the slopes. Over the course of the 4 days, we immersed ourselves in intensive skiing lessons, huddled in hot tubs and of course, bonded over our shared love of wine and cheese. What better way to curb the January blues and set the tone for the year ahead?

Whilst a surprising number of the team stunned us with their elegant technique and their rapid slaloms, for several it was their first time on the slopes. With this in mind, we booked multiple instructors to cater for the varying experience levels – everyone got the guidance they needed in order to progress. Evening project meetings in our unique Swiss-style chalets saw us discuss new business proposals with renewed energy and a fresh perspective.

When fresh powder snow gave way to icy surprises and shocking visibility, we continued to spur each other on with the same camaraderie that mirrors our spirit on site. As the sun went down, our après-ski sessions reunited the pros with the amateurs over another shared love, music. The most memorable of such sessions was an intimate DJ set hosted by our very own production leads.

We may not be destined for the Winter Olympics anytime soon, but we will continue to be a team that embraces new challenges, support each other and have a lot of fun in the process. With or without the cheese.

You can rest assured that we are far more composed in our project planning than we are on the slopes.
