A huge networking opportunity, Android Carrier Partner Summit brings a global audience together for two days of meetings with Googlers from all over the world.
For the second year running we designed and delivered the event, taking it to Berlin in 2019. The event consists of a one day conference, sandwiched in between two days packed with meetings important partners and carriers. Seeing everyone in one place also saves Googlers multiple offsite meetings and global trips, as well as giving event delegates quality time and access to their Google counterparts.
In 2019, Android was going through a creative transition, including a strategy and identity revamp, which was released commercially around the time of the event.
Therefore the Summit became the first major global event to feature the new Android branding. Collaborating with the Android team, we made sure that we celebrated the new look and feel. Clever transitioning on the main stage allowed us to hero the brands primary colours whilst also championing each of their important partners – with unique lighting stats for each of the presenters which looked incredible against the urban backdrop.
The staging also reinforced the collaborative ethos of the event with a layered, linking 3D design that represented the extended Android family coming together for the three days.
From the micro details, like the hero Android bot popping up throughout the venue, to the incredible hanging installation in the meeting area, the event design felt fresh and current at a time when the brand was undergoing its own transformation. After the main conference finished, the closing party kicked off at nearby Monkey Bar Berlin, adding another layer of networking to an already packed day. Drinks, canapes and a DJ closed the summit in style.
